Giving back to our community
An integral part of our work is giving back to our community during times of need. We host two Appeals each year – our Christmas and Winter Appeals – drawing on the goodwill of our community to raise funds and collect items to help those doing it tough.
Winter Appeal
Winter is an especially tough time for those we support and our Winter Appeal helps to provide some much-needed relief. Thanks to our community’s generosity, we collected more than $7,000 and over 250 in-kind donations, including blankets, warm clothes and non-perishable food items. It makes such a difference to those struggling through the cold of winter.
Christmas Appeal
Our community rallied together to donate more than $25,000 and 2,000 gifts to our Christmas Appeal, allowing us to help hundreds of local families in need during the festive season. Our team was kept busy collecting donations from schools, corporate offices, church congregations, community groups and everyone in between, in a true show of what the meaning of Christmas is all about.
